Wallingford Students ham it up with Harry Smith of the CBS Morning Show

In Wallingford , Conn. , students, SNA member and school nutrition director Sharlene Wong and parents loaded up on a bus and went into New York City on Monday morning to take National School Lunch Week and the five candidates to the CBS Early Show, the NBC Today Show and over 3.5 million viewers watching at home. Celebrations in the districts schools will carry on all week.
 
Also in the Constitution State , an op-ed by SNA member and Bloomfield Public School nutrition director Tim Cipriano highlighted state efforts to connect school nutrition program with local farms. The piece touts, “despite popular myths and stereotypes about the quality of school lunches, the vast majority of meals served in today's school cafeterias are becoming healthier, more nutritious and tasty too.”
